4 Hour Days Eliminate Stress!

Has adventure and true living taken a backseat to "existing"?  Consequently, the devastating effects of stress permeate your personal and professional life in ways you’re probably unaware of.  People simply have too much on their plates; and the consequences are devastating.  From neglected families to failing health and everything in between.  It’s time to try a new way...

A stress-driven life with compromised health, emotions and relationships is no way to live.  Fortunately, much can be done to reduce the  stress present in your life and business.  Learn these skills before it’s too late!  After all, a heart disease. stroke, or a deeply damaged relationship could be just around the corner.

This post is for people who have the power to re-arrange how they spend their time / day; business owners, executives, some managers, etc. (not necessarily for those who clock in and out).

Let’s turn our attention to “Living Stress Free”!  How can one leave hyper speed, chaos, and over-whelm and begin to calm down and enjoy life?

Four Hours Per Day
This is going to seem radical, and maybe it is, depending upon how you view life now and how you could view life!  For the next 10 business days, make an IRON-CLAD commitment to work no more than 4 hours per day. Hell yes I’m serious!  I do it (or less) and I teach people to do this EVERY single day. It's far easier than you might think!

All you need to do is decide, “for the next 10 business days I will work no more than 4 hours per day”.  I promise, you will get everything done and you’ll do it better, and you'll delegate things you've needed to delegate for years!

The most important thing here is your iron-clad commitment. Once you mentally agree to that, everything else will flow.

Call To Action! These 3 tips will make it possible for you to stay within your 4-hour work day.

1.    Business Transformers. Each day for the next 10 biz days, make a list of 1-3 items that when complete will transform your business (department, etc), this is how you should be spending your time. This short list should accomplish A: move the entire business vision forward in a profound direction, B: makes the business money by ___________ date, C: Should be FUN and enjoyable!

2.    Automation. Make a list of tasks the you repeat that can be automated, eliminated or delegated (Thanks for the tip Tim Ferriss!).  I promise you, MORE that half of the activities you do can be automated, eliminated or delegated.  You’re not that important!!!  Once this list is set. Spend your first 4 hour day automating, eliminating or delegating.  Get a kitchen timer and give yourself NO more than 15 minutes per task. This WILL be more than enough time to complete most tasks.  If you do find a task that requires more time to handle. Begin each day with this task, set the timer for 5-15 then move on.

Using an obnoxious kitchen timer WILL change your life.

3.    Time Stealers. Defing your time robbrrs and do not engage in any time stealers or distractions, or set a kitchen timer with a 5 minute buzzer.  Meaning turn off your email and phone for the majority of each  day.  If you are spending time fire-fighting, micro managing, or responding to emails, you enter need a more capable team, effective systems, to learn to let go and delegate or all the above!

Take the necessary steps to reclaim your life and LIVE it FREELY!

Until next time, Shawn
