It started when I stumbled upon a picture of Project Getaway 2010, where people were ‘working’ in a tropical environment. ‘Yeah right’ said my cynical self. I almost found the picture disturbing, only because those people were at least one million miles away from where I was at that point. I had just graduated and the only thing I knew was that I didn’t want to continue in that particular field. So there I was at the start again, when I naively thought that I would have had figured it all out by then.
What's your purpose? Clients, friends, family members -- even strangers often ask me about the idea of “finding their purpose.” Purpose... It’s a loaded and complex concept requiring a great deal of pre-defined terminology before a meaningful discussion can even begin. In the end, it comes down to that elusive question that's stumped some of the greatest philosophers of all time: What is the meaning of life? ... Well, no offense to Plato, but as I see it, most people are actually craving Experience rather that any real need to define Purpose.
