Living in an idyllic place is often less practical than in a big city – so we should all be thankful for those innovative entrepreneurs who make it all happen, even in the most remote locations. One of them will visit PG and tell us how she’s doing it!
Date: October 7th
Speaker: Isrina Asmi
Rina is a Javanese entrepreneur who lives in Gili Trawangan, one of the picture perfect islands in proximity to Bali. Driven by her personal needs and teaming up with some amazing people, she has birthed a number of businesses that offer solutions to the typical Indonesian paradise island’s lack of options.
- The Old Tree Company, an environmentally aware construction company that provides upcycled hand crafted timber buildings, antique structures, furniture and artwork with a refined style.
- Kayu Café, the first café on the island that provides healthy products and otherwise indulgent cakes and coffees.
- Gili Bumblebee Montessori, the first international school on the island, providing Montessori education for the little international and local islanders.
- The Bhuvana, an ecologically conscious ongoing development, also built in the same distinctive design.
Just how awesome does everything look?
We’re super excited to have Isrina share her story and experiences!
Welcome to Paradise!
