Today’s introduction takes us to Los Angeles, as we attempt mission impossible: summarize our next participant’s stellar career in a blog post. Here goes our try.
Han Rhyu is an art director, designer, photographer, filmmaker, musician and creative entrepreneur with such a diverse portfolio he had us in awe in an instant.
Seven years ago, he founded (and has been running since) his own design studio, Sens Projects.
While developing several next generation startup ideas for the global market, he also consults for high profile startups, studios and entrepreneurial ventures in Los Angeles and New York.
Han holds an MFA degree from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA where he also participated in an MFA / MBA exchange with the INSEAD business school in France.
He has worked on the Andy Warhol exhibit in New York, amongst other notable projects and with companies such as Sony Entertainment, Samsung, Armani Beauty, Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey Group, Warner Brothers, NBC / Comcast / Universal. He has also contributed to various media projects with high profile individuals such as Alexander McQueen, Megan Fox, Claudia Schiffer and Peter Saville.
A true cosmopolitan, he has recently traveled to various cities around the world photographing luxury hotels and resorts in the US and Canada, the Middle East, Asia and Europe over the span of a year. His previous art and design endeavors have taken place in cities like Chicago, New York, London, San Francisco, Miami, Paris and Los Angeles.
Han’s first feature film, ‘Chances’, was shown at the Cannes Film Festival, was part of the official selection at the Nevada Film Festival and went on to win a Golden Reel Award.
He is an avid surfer, snowboarder and overall outdoor adventure enthusiast.
His plans for the next few years include building a location independent lifestyle business, a product line based on 3D printing and developing smart mobile apps that support sustainability.
Han will be the PG’s official photographer and media artist this year and we couldn’t be more honored to have him!
He will also run a bootstrap design solutions program (research, ideation, prototyping), which sounds like an absolutely must-attend session to us!
We can’t wait to meet you, Han!
